What Color Is Your Canvas?

My name is Claude Jones and I have and still do personally experience racism, hatred, and bigotry. I also know many out there have faced the same.  And while I still have breath in my lungs, my goal is to share my heart and fight for unbiased opportunities for all.

According to art theory, the color Black contains all colors, meaning Black is required for all other colors to have depth and variation of hue.

This made me think, what if everyone was Black? How would this make you feel?

If you were Black would you have a sense of pride and dignity?

If you were Black would you feel protected and safe?

If others looked at you, would they see Black as violent, inferior, or aggressive?

What color is your canvas?

Imagine if we all started with the same Black canvas.  We shared similar traits, feelings, and insecurities.  And the only difference between us happened to be the depth of our culture and the variation of our experiences that brought out the unique hues and vibrant colors that make us Human.

Once we see the similarities in others while accepting their differences, we will realize we are all the same.

What color is your canvas? Would you say it is Black?
