How often do you Hallucinate?

Have you ever had a great idea but never took the steps to move forward with it? Was it fear of failure, lack of knowledge, or procrastination that held you back? Or were you hallucinating?

In the early 2000’s, I would always talk about what I wanted to do, but never accomplished anything. It wasn’t until some told me, “Vision without Execution is Hallucination” and it hit home.

Now, to help keep me focused, I ask myself the following:

  1. Is my vision realistic?: while it’s great to dream big, I ask, “is my vision something I have the power to accomplish”.
  2. Do I have a clear plan?: have I thought through the pros/cons in an effort to refine my goal.
  3. Do I have the right support system?: have I built a network of people that can help me achieve my goal.

These three steps help me focus my thoughts towards execution.

This week what vision do you have for yourself? What steps will you take to put it into action?

Stop hallucinating and start executing.
